US election campaign - Hulk Hogan addresses the public at the Republican Party convention

Former Wrestler Hulk Hogan caused a thunderous applause in the Republican party's convention hall last night. "Donald Trump is the strongest of all," he urged the crowd in Milwaukee, after he had first taken off his jacket and then torn off his black T-shirt underneath, revealing a sleeveless, bright red shirt with "Trump - Vance 2024" written on it. J.D. Vance is Trump's vice presidential candidate.

From the podium, the freshly nominated presidential candidate seemed to be pleased with the ex-wrestler's words. The mood in the hall was heating up more than before, particularly during Trump's introduction. The 70-year-old Hogan gained fame not only through wrestling but also through series and films. He once supported former President Barack Obama, a Democrat, but in 2011 announced that he would no longer do so.
