Donations enable homeless man in Amsterdam a new start

Hadjer had found the wallet at Amsterdam Central Station, where he "made his rounds," looking for bottle deposits. According to the police, there were "approximately 2000 Euros" in the wallet, but no identification or other clues about the owner. As a reward, the honest finder received the "Silver Thumb" award from the police and a 50 Euro voucher. If the wallet owner does not come forward within a year, the money goes to the finder.

"I want to thank everyone so, so, so much," Hadjer said in a video published on the Instagram network. "I can't even describe how I feel right now." He was "overwhelmed" by messages from people who said "the sweetest, nicest things." He was "full of adrenaline" and could now put his life back in order with the donations.
