Hezbollah initiates a major offensive against Israel.
On day three of Israeli assaults on southern Lebanon, a Hisbollah commander's death led to 100+ rockets being launched at Israel. The Hisbollah, a radical-Islamic terrorist militia, seeks revenge via heavy bombardment of Israel.
Responding to their fallen commander, the Hisbollah fired over a hundred projectiles across the border into Israel on Tuesday. This attack marked one of the militia's most extensive offensives since October, as reported by Lebanese security authorities.
Following the assaults, Israeli fighter jets retaliated by striking targets in southern Lebanon. As per Israeli reports, four Hisbollah members, including the commander, were killed during the evening attack. The fallen commander was scheduled to be buried on the same day, but no official statement from the Israeli military had been made.
Since the October war in Gaza, skirmishes between the Iran-backed Hisbollah and Israel have become a common occurrence. The Hisbollah have causalities of around 300, with around 80 counted as civilian casualties. Israeli lives lost include 18 soldiers and 10 civilians, according to their estimates.
