Harris will expose Trump as a swindler

Kamala Harris introduces herself at Milwaukee campaign rally as a fighter for the rule of law - and the perfect opponent for convicted felon Trump.

Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris took a hard stance against her Republican rival in the race for the White House, Donald Trump, during her first campaign rally in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In her speech in the US state, Harris referenced her background as District Attorney of San Francisco and Attorney General in her home state of California. "I have taken on the big banks of Wall Street and held them accountable for fraud. Donald Trump was just found guilty of fraud in 34 cases," the 59-year-old stated.

Trump was found guilty of tax evasion and other financial crimes in a New York trial in late March. It is the first time in US history that a former president has been convicted of a crime. Harris also touched upon other legal issues of the Republicans in her speech. "At this election, we are all faced with the question, in what kind of country do we want to live?" she called out. "Do we want to live in a country of freedom, compassion, and the rule of law or in a country of chaos, fear, and hatred?"

The choice of Wisconsin as the location for Harris' first campaign appearance was no accident. Wisconsin is a so-called Swing State - a state that is not firmly in the Republican or Democratic camp for the presidential election on November 5. These battleground states are particularly important in the campaign because they can determine the outcome.

After Harris' speech, the song "Freedom" by US superstar Beyoncé was played. CNN reported that Harris had received permission from Beyoncé to play the song. US President Joe Biden had announced on Sunday that he would step back from the campaign and support Harris as a replacement candidate. She has received broad support within the Democratic Party.

  1. In her campaign rally in Wisconsin, Harris highlighted her past battles against Republican issues, including Donald Trump's conviction in 34 tax evasion and financial crimes cases.
  2. As a swing state, Wisconsin holds significant importance in the November 5 presidential election, making Harris' choice to start her campaign in Milwaukee strategic.
  3. With a focus on the rule of law and contrasting it with the Republicans' perceived chaos and hatred, Kamala Harris sought to position herself as the ideal opponent for former President Donald Trump and the Democratic Party's candidate in the United States of America.
