Basketball - Hamburg Towers loan out Maronka

Basketball-Bundesligist Veolia Towers Hamburg has strengthened its roster with Zsombor Maronka. The club from the Hanseatic city announced that the 22-year-old Hungarian will be loaned from the Spanish club Joventut Badalona for the upcoming season. The 2.08 meter tall forward was previously on loan at the Lithuanian club Neptunas Klaipeda.

"Despite his young age, Zsombor has already gathered rich experience at the highest level. This experience is reflected in his play. He acts with much calmness, determination, and a certain finesse that one usually only sees in significantly older professionals. It's an intriguing combination," said Hamburg's sports business manager Marvin Willoughby.

Zsombor Maronka's loan period from Joventut Badalona will allow him to contribute to Hamburg's Bundesliga basketball team this season. Situated in Veolia Towers Hamburg, the club is based in Germany's renowned Hanseatic city.
