Hamas: Handover of second group of hostages delayed

According to the terrorist organization Hamas, the handover of a second group of hostages in the Gaza Strip will be delayed. Hamas justified its actions by claiming that Israel had violated part of the agreement. It accused Israel of not allowing aid deliveries to the northern part of the Gaza Strip as agreed.

It is unclear whether this was actually part of the agreement brokered by Qatar. Initially, there was always talk in Israel of allowing aid deliveries to the south. In addition, the military arm of Hamas claimed that Israel was not "adhering to the agreed standards" when releasing prisoners.

Previously, there had been several reports that the process of handing over the hostages had already begun. According to various reports, there was talk of 13 or 14 Israelis. According to the reports, the hostages had already been handed over to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). It is unclear how long the delay will last. There was initially no confirmation from the Israeli side.

Amidst ongoing conflicts in the Middle East, the Gaza war served as a backdrop for the delayed handover of a second group of hostages by Hamas. The military wing of Hamas accused Israel of not adhering to the agreed standards while releasing prisoners, leading to a hold on the hostage exchange involving Hamas, Israel, and international organizations like the ICRC.
