Good dishwashers are available for less than 700 Euro
**Stiftung Warentest tests 18 current dishwashers. 13 of them are good, all tested XXL-appliances are among them. The five winners have a rating of 2.2.
Large plates or tall items often pose a problem for standard dishwashers, as they can block the arm. An alternative is to lift the upper basket up, but there is no longer enough space for long-stemmed glasses in this case. That's why there are now XXL dishwashers that are up to 86 centimeters high. Stiftung Warentest tested five appliances with more storage capacity, which are among the best of the 18 tested dishwashers.
There are five winners, which achieved the quality rating of 2.2. In standard sizes, the fully integrated Siemens SN65ZX07CE (830 Euro) and the partially integrated Siemens SN55ZS07CE (830 Euro) lead the way. They performed well in the Eco program and were satisfactory in the short and automatic programs. The safety of the appliances is very good, handling, noise level, and power consumption in standby or off mode are good.
The best XXL dishwashers also showed good performance in the Eco program and received satisfactory ratings in the short and automatic programs. All other disciplines rated them very good or good. The most affordable appliance with more storage capacity is the fully integrated Bosch SBV6ZCx16E, which costs around 850 Euro on average online. Following are the fully integrated Neff S297TCX00E (975 Euro) and the partially integrated Miele G 7205 SCi XXL.
Good machines under 700 Euro
The most affordable good dishwasher is the Bosch SMV4EAX23E, which costs around 670 Euro on average. It has a total score of 2.3, which is almost as good as the winners. Stiftung Warentest recommends the partially integrated Constructa CG6IS01EBD, which costs around 700 Euro and achieved a quality rating of 2.4. It offers the most affordable package in terms of purchase price and operating costs among the good dishwashers, according to the testers.
