North Sea - German masters in bobsleigh awarded

The German Masters in Schlickruten are set. At the Schlickruten in Nordseebad Dangast, participants, both male and female, have to cover a distance of approximately 150 meters on the Wattboden using special wooden sleds. They kneel on one leg on the sled and push with the other. Over 1,000 people watched the Schlickruten competition. The event is part of the "Watt en Schlick Festivals", which opened on a Friday.

According to the reporter's description, the eighth German Championships in Schlickruten began in the morning with rain, followed by sunshine before the semi-finals. Men and women, mostly in white tops, slid through the Schlick of the Wattenmeer with all their might.

The three-day "Watt en Schlick Festival" celebrates its ten-year anniversary this year. Approximately 6,000 visitors were expected, with a total of 75 concerts, readings, and film screenings scheduled on five stages directly before the World Heritage Site Wattenmeer. The "Watt en Schlick" festival aims to provide visitors with the opportunity to be curious, discover new things, and be surprised and inspired by previously unknown artists and artists.
