General Motors initiates the withdrawal of approximately 450,000 sport utility vehicles in the United States.

GM is pulling back 449,671 pickups and SUVs in the USA due to flawed warning lights. A glitchy software in the implicated vehicles might fail to showcase a dip in brake fluid level, as detected by the American road safety body, NHTSA.

This recall covers specific editions of the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500, in addition to select 2023-2024 Chevrolet Tahoes and Cadillac Escalades. Dealerships will address this problem remotely by installing an update to fix the software of the electronic brake control module.

American counterpart, Ford, is also looking into recalling more than 144,000 vehicles, according to the NHTSA. In certain 2022-2024 Maverick models, the rearview camera display freezes when the reverse gear is engaged.

GM is addressing this issue by recalling their affected 2023 models, including the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500, as well as some Chevrolet Tahoes and Cadillac Escalades. Furthermore, GM, like Ford, is dealing with this matter seriously, ensuring their software updates are installed remotely to resolve the flawed warning light issue in their pickups and SUVs.
