Illegal Activity - Fugitives escape amidst Hagen's gunfire incident.
There's been a shooting spree in Hagen involving four people, and the police are still looking for a 34-year-old suspect. The Dortmund police have expressed their determination in finding the suspect, with one spokesperson stating, "We're still searching with high pressure." The search continues in the Hagen area.
The suspect is suspected to have seriously injured these four individuals with his gunfire on Saturday morning. His wife was one of the victims, police revealed. Both crime scenes are just ten minutes apart from each other. The family seems to be the central focus of the motive behind the crime.
According to the authorities, the shootings started around 11:00 a.m. when the suspect shot his wife in the apartment they shared in a multiple-occupancy building on Hochstraße. He then went on to fire multiple shots at a door on a floor above, but fortunately, no one was harmed there. About an hour later, the suspect drove to a hair salon and opened fire on three more people there. One of them ended up in critical condition. After the crime, the suspect parked his car in a nearby area and escaped on foot.
As the hunt for the suspect continued, a helicopter was deployed for assistance. At one point, a supermarket was also considered a potential third crime scene, according to information from a police spokesperson. A wooded area was also searched. People are encouraged to offer any relevant tips to the police, who are still actively following leads.
The four injured individuals were taken to different hospitals. The area around the crime scenes was cordoned off by the police, and they urged locals to stay away from the area. They set up a zone close to the crime scenes where residents, tenants, and relatives could be cared for if necessary.
One can only hope that the police will apprehend the suspect soon and justice will prevail.
