Criminality - Fugitive man arrested after attack on 26-year-old

After the heavy attack on a 26-year-old man in Nuremberg two days ago, the police arrested the suspected perpetrator the same day. The 26-year-old was taken into custody and must now answer for the suspicion of an attempted murder crime, as the police announced today.

He is accused of attacking the 26-year-old man on Friday morning, causing severe injuries to the upper body, and then fleeing. Police responded to a witness call and found the injured man at the scene. He was taken to the hospital.

The Police were searching for the suspect with a helicopter, among other things. The Homicide Commission took over the investigation, and the court issued a warrant for his arrest. The two men were reportedly involved in a physical altercation three days prior. Therefore, the suspicion against the similarly aged man arose. He was arrested on Friday evening in Nuremberg and presented to the investigating judge.

The suspect, believed to be from Middle Franconian area, was apprehended in Bavaria's Nuremberg, where the incident happened. Despite the efforts of the police to maintain law and order in the city, criminality continues to pose a challenge.
