"We have already communicated that the individual was born in Great Britain, and speculation is not helping anyone at the moment," said the British police. They are responding to false reports and rumors about the origin of the suspected perpetrator who allegedly killed three children in the port city of Southport.

Due to the severe far-right riots in England and Northern Ireland, the British government has convened a meeting of the national crisis response team Cobra.

"You will regret participating in the unrest"

Prime Minister Keir Starmer of the Labour Party had announced strong action by law enforcement agencies. "I assure you, you will regret participating in these riots," he said, addressing rioters and instigators.

According to the BBC, at least 250 people have been arrested in connection with the riots so far.

Hundreds of rioters had gathered outside a hotel in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, smashing windows and setting fires. The police were also attacked with projectiles. Several officers were injured.

Victims were at a dance class in Southport

The far-right rioters are using the deadly attack on a Taylor Swift dance class in Southport near Liverpool, where three children were killed and several people were seriously injured, as a pretext.

False news had previously been spread online claiming that the suspected attacker was an asylum seeker with a Muslim name.
