Family dispute escalates maximally: In the rural area of the southern Italian city Naples, a brutal crime occurred from a dispute between two brothers: In the commune of Pannarano, a 59-year-old man, according to police reports, stabbed his 65-year-old brother and then beheaded him. Subsequently, he threw the severed head from the balcony onto the street, it was reported. The scene was observed by several neighbors, according to Italian media reports. The alleged perpetrator was arrested and interrogated. It is still unclear why the dispute occurred.

According to initial reports from investigators, the two brothers had been living together under one roof in their family house for some time. The dispute is said to have occurred on a Wednesday evening around 10 PM. The younger brother called the police on his own accord after the incident. Initially, he barricaded himself in the house, but then opened the door voluntarily to the officers. The police described a gruesome scene: The body of the 65-year-old was mutilated by numerous stab wounds, the head was missing. The alleged perpetrator is now in custody.

According to Italian media reports, there had been disputes between the brothers in the past. The 65-year-old, a widower, had returned to his hometown from the capital city of Rome after retiring some time ago.
