From a dispute between two brothers in the hinterland of the southern Italian city of Naples, a brutal crime occurred: A 59-year-old man, according to police reports, stabbed his 65-year-old brother and then beheaded him. Subsequently, he allegedly threw the severed head from the balcony onto the street. The scene was observed by several neighbors, according to Italian media reports. The dispute is said to have occurred on a Wednesday evening around 10:00 PM. The younger brother called the police on his own accord after the incident. Initially, he barricaded himself in the house, but then opened the door voluntarily to the officers. The police described a gruesome scene: The body of the 65-year-old was mutilated by numerous stab wounds, the head was missing. The suspected perpetrator is now in custody.
