In Hagen, four people were gravely hurt in separate shootings at a house and a hair salon. The cops were on the scene with a sizable force and were hunting for a suspect, a 34-year-old man.

By late afternoon, they hadn't found him. One of the injured victims was the wife of the alleged attacker, according to a Dortmund police spokesperson. Wounds were sustained at both locations, which are just ten minutes apart. According to early evidence, the motives for the crime seem to be linked to domestic issues.

The shootings allegedly happened around 11 a.m. Officials stated that none of the victims were in danger of losing their lives by the afternoon. All four were taken to hospitals for medical attention. Dortmund police took charge of the operation and assembled a task force.

Aerial Search

The investigation for the culprit was aided by a helicopter. At one point, a supermarket came under scrutiny as a potential third crime scene. It wasn't clear yet if there were any injured people there. A forest area was also being searched. There were ongoing tips from the public. The cops would search these areas in detail.

Reports from the "Westfalen Post" mentioned that a rescue helicopter landed near the crime scenes to transport the most badly hurt individuals. There were reported victims at both the hair salon and the house.

The X platform of the Hagen police relayed that the area around the crime scenes had been cordoned off extensively, and citizens were advised to avoid the area. The cops urged the public to exercise utmost precaution. "Please don't put yourselves in danger! If you notice anything suspicious, choose the emergency number 110," read a message on the X platform.

The Hagen police kept people updated on the situation and asked them to stay away from the Hagen city center, Hochstraße in Eilpe, and Breckerfeld. In addition, a support facility was set up near the crime scenes where residents, tenants, and relatives could receive care if needed.
