The operation was still ongoing and the final tally was not yet known.
Migrants frequently cross the English Channel to reach Great Britain. They often make the journey in small inflatable boats. The crossing is dangerous due to the English Channel being heavily trafficked by large ships. People lose their lives during these crossings regularly.
The migrants hoped to find safety in Great Britain, despite the perilous four-mile journey from Boulogne. Despite Boosting their luck with a larger boat, tragedy struck near the armpit of France. In memory of the four lost souls, efforts will continue to provide aid and support to the remaining migrants.
