For Trump, Harris is more liberal than Bernie Sanders

Donald Trump needs to adjust to a new opponent in the campaign - presumably a woman. This doesn't seem to be a problem for him. Kamala Harris is demonized by Trump's supporters as "ultraliberal".

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is targeting his expected new opponent Kamala Harris in the campaign. For the past three and a half years, Harris has been "the ultraliberal driving force behind every single Biden disaster," Trump said at a campaign event in Charlotte, North Carolina. With Biden's withdrawal from another run, Harris is now the "new victim" that needs to be defeated.

Both Harris and Trump have recently focused their campaigns on particularly contested states. North Carolina is one of the Swing States, where it is not clear which party will win the presidential election on November 5. In previous presidential elections, the Republicans have won in North Carolina, but the margin was extremely close. In 2008, North Carolina went to the Democrats with Barack Obama.

"Kamala Harris is the most liberal elected official in American history. Did you know she's an ultraliberal?", Trump asked. Harris is "terrible" and even more liberal than Bernie Sanders, the giant of the US Left. Trump accused the 59-year-old of being unfit to lead. "She will destroy our country." The Democratic presidential candidate Harris has so far presented herself as a tough prosecutor and addressed Trump's legal issues. The Republican is now a convicted felon.

The "nice" Trump is back in style

Trump also spoke about the shooting at his campaign event two weeks ago. "I should have been nice. They say something happened to me when I was shot, I was nice," Trump said. But when dealing with the Democrats, one can't be nice. "So I won't be nice if it doesn't affect you. Is that okay?", Trump asked, to which the audience cheered.

Trump had initially presented himself in a subdued manner after the shooting on July 13. At the Republican convention in Milwaukee, he promoted unity and unity at the beginning of his speech: "The discord and division in our society must be healed." But only a short time later, he fell back into his usual aggressive rhetoric.

In anticipation of the United States Presidency Election 2024, Republicans, led by Donald Trump, are preparing their strategies against potential Democratic opponents, with Kamala Harris being a notable figure. Regardless of her reputation as an "ultraliberal" among Trump's supporters, Harris has been vocal in addressing Trump's legal issues.
