For now, the weather service has halted warnings regarding rainfall.
Positive update for flooded areas in Germany: Per the weather forecast by the German Weather Service (DWD), most of these regions will experience dry conditions in the coming days.
"Meteorologically speaking, we can now sound an alarm for the southern regions of Germany," said DWD meteorologist Robert Hausen. Although sporadic showers and thunderstorms might occur, they won't be severe. This prevails across the country until Thursday.
The North and Northwest will maintain temperatures below 20 degrees - a typical pattern for the season, as Hausen noted. The rest of Germany can expect temperatures ranging from 21 to 26 degrees. At night, it could turn chilly with temperatures dipping below 10 degrees.
Increasing amounts of rainfall are anticipated over the weekend. Heavy downpours and thunderstorms are foreseen in the Southern regions - though not as excessive as before. More precise details are currently unavailable: "Let's hope that the water levels have improved by then."
