At an Israeli drone attack in Tulkarem, in the West Bank, according to media reports, five Palestinians were reportedly killed. Among them were three militant fighters, two of whom were commanders, reported Palestinian media. They were reportedly high-ranking members of the armed wing of Hamas and the Al-Aqsa Brigades, the armed wing of the Fatah organization of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.

The Israeli army confirmed that a drone had attacked "armed terrorists" in Tulkarem. There were also reports of firefights between soldiers and armed civilians in the city.

The Palestinian Red Crescent reported that a woman was killed and three others were injured. Media reports spoke of two women being killed.

The situation in the West Bank has worsened significantly since the start of the Gaza War following the Hamas massacre on October 7, 2023. According to the Health Ministry, more than 550 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli military raids, confrontations, or their own attacks in the West Bank since then. Violence against Palestinians by Israeli settlers also increased in this period. Israel had captured the West Bank, the Gaza Strip, and East Jerusalem in the Six-Day War of 1967 and has since occupied them. The Palestinians claim these areas for their own state.
