Five minors detained in England following lethal assault

Following a brutal assault on an elderly gent in England, law enforcement has apprehended five minors, ages 12 and 14, on suspicion of homicide. These three females and two males are currently being interrogated, Leicestershire Police confirmed.

The 80-year-old victim was viciously attacked by a gang of youths in a park in Braunstone Town, Leicester, on Sunday evening as he strolled his dog. He sadly succumbed to his injuries in the hospital later. The juvenile suspects are suspected to have fled the scene prior to the arrival of emergency services.

Additional information was withheld by police who urged potential witnesses to step forward. "Investigators are persistently working to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the assault," said Detective Inspector Emma Matts. "We have already detained various individuals as we strive to grasp the situation." In England, youngsters aged 10 and above are deemed accountable for criminal actions.

The brutal assault in Braunstone Town has been classified as a crime by law enforcement. Due to the serious nature of the crime, the five minors are being thoroughly interrogated.
