Fulda - Five children and caregiver injured in bus accident
At an accident involving a city bus in Fulda, five Kindergarten children and a daycare teacher were lightly injured. The bus drove straight over the sidewalk this afternoon in a gentle left turn and then collided with a streetlight pole and the wall behind it, according to the police. There were 17 children from a preschool class of a daycare center, their teacher, and four other passengers in the bus.
Five Children and the teacher were taken to hospitals with light injuries for further examination. Most of them were discharged shortly thereafter. The accident is believed to have been caused by a medical emergency with the 62-year-old bus driver, as stated further. He was also taken to a hospital. No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
