weather - First wind and thunder, then sun-cloud mix in NRW
People can enjoy sunshine in North Rhine-Westphalia until the weekend - but it will still be unpleasant today. According to the German Weather Service (DWD), especially the northwestern part has to reckon with individual showers and thunderstorms today. In addition, strong to stormy gusts are expected according to the forecast. The meteorologists expect highest temperatures between 21 and 24 degrees.
From the middle of the week, however, summer weather is forecasted again: According to DWD, it will be mainly sunny and dry with temperatures up to 23 to 26 degrees on Wednesday. On Thursday, it is predicted to be even warmer with maximum temperatures of 27 to 29 degrees.
The forecast also predicts a sunny and probably dry Friday: With highest temperatures between 28 and 31 degrees, North Rhine-Westphalia is supposed to go into the weekend.
Despite the sunshine continuing in North Rhine-Westphalia until the weekend, Thunder and isolated showers are expected especially in the northwestern part today, as revealed by DWD. Regrettably, strong to stormy winds will also affect the region, adding to the unpleasant weather conditions. Fortunately, the situation is expected to improve from the middle of the week, with mostly sunny and dry weather forecasted by DWD, including temperatures up to 23 to 26 degrees on Wednesday in North Rhine-Westphalia.
