Weather - First sun and heat, then thunderstorms and heavy rain

Today is still summery warm, but the weather will get worse towards the middle of the week according to the German Weather Service (DWD). The DWD warns again of local thunderstorms with heavy rain, storm, and hail starting from Wednesday.

But first, Tuesday awaits us with a lot of sunshine, few clouds, and temperatures up to 33 degrees. The temperature will continue to rise during the day. In the night, temperatures of up to 18 degrees can be expected.

On Wednesday morning, the potential for thunderstorms and rain increases according to weather experts. In eastern parts of the country, there is a risk of heavy rain of up to 30 liters per square meter and powerful thunderstorms until evening. The temperatures remain around the 30-degree mark. In the night, the thunderstorm front moves away and individual fog fields can form at temperatures up to 18 degrees.

On Thursday, we can expect hot, summery weather again with only occasional showers and thunderstorms. The night temperatures remain similar to those at the beginning of the week.

In Berlin, on Wednesday, the DWD forecasts an increased risk of thunderstorms and heavy rain, potentially reaching 30 liters per square meter. Despite this, the temperature in Berlin will remain close to 30 degrees. Meanwhile, in Potsdam, located in Brandenburg, the weather might be influenced similarly, with the possibility of local thunderstorms and heavy rain.
