Criticism of the US President - First Democrat congressman calls on Biden to withdraw

After US-President Joe Biden's weak performance in the first TV debate before the Presidential election, the first Democratic congressman called for his resignation. Representative Lloyd Doggett from the state of Texas made a statement on Tuesday expressing the hope that Biden would make the "painful and difficult decision" to withdraw from the race. Doggett added respectfully, "I urge him to do so."

Allegations of lack of transparency

Biden, the oldest President in US history at 81 years old, spoke loudly during the TV debate with his expected challenger Donald Trump on CNN on Thursday evening. He also repeated himself, got tangled in his statements, and left some sentences incomplete.

So far, the heavyweights in the Democratic Party have publicly expressed their support for Biden, but since the TV debate, the anxiety of his supporters and donors has increased. Some accuse Biden's inner circle of a lack of transparency about his abilities.

Nancy Pelosi gives Biden her blessing

The former Speaker of the House, Democrat Nancy Pelosi, told MSNBC on Tuesday that it was "legitimate" to express concerns about Biden's fitness for the Presidency after the debate. She considered it "legitimate" to ask if it was an "episode" or a "persistent condition," Pelosi, who is 84 years old, added.

She is not a doctor and cannot say what will happen in the coming years, Pelosi continued. But in her opinion, Biden would continue to be an excellent US President.

In response to Nancy Pelosi deeming it legitimate to question Biden's fitness for the presidency following his performance in the debate, Lloyd Doggett, a prominent Democratic congressman, urged Joe Biden to consider withdrawing from the presidential race due to concerns over transparency about his abilities. Amidst mounting anxiety among Biden's supporters and donors after the debate, allegations of a lack of transparency within Biden's inner circle have surfaced, potentially impacting his chances in the upcoming US Presidential election.
