The bar was completely burnt out on Sunday morning. There are no reports of injuries. Witnesses reported at least one explosion before the building caught fire, as the police reported. According to the public prosecutor's office, there are indications of arson in the case. A benzine smell was reported on site. However, the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The investigators made no initial statements about possible suspects. According to the "Westfalen-Blatt", there was a search at a multi-family house on Sunday evening, but the suspect was not found.

The arson investigation in North Rhine-Westphalia's Herford, following the bar fire, involves a criminal expert from the state's office. Despite indications of benzine and a potential explosion, the exact cause of the fire remains under investigation by the police. Subsequently, searches have been conducted in connection to the incident, including at a multi-family house.
