After a fire at a bar in the inner city of Herford, the police are investigating on site with a large presence. It is still unclear whether an explosion of the trigger was the cause, stated a spokesperson of the leading police department in Bielefeld. A fire broke out in the bar. "We are investigating in all directions," said the spokesperson.
The investigations range from a technical defect to arson to an attack. The fire department and the Technical Aid Organization are on site. The police are "with strong forces on site," to find the cause of the fire. It is also still unclear whether there were victims, said the spokesperson.
The investigation expands to potential causes in North Rhine-Westphalia, given the bar's location. The fire, thankfully, did not spread to nearby establishments in Germany.
