However, they underestimated the current and had to hold onto a tree to avoid being carried away. Among the affected were reportedly children. The Fire Department saved the people from the water with a boat. According to the police, they were unharmed.

The emergency situation necessitated the immediate involvement of the police and the Fire Department in Reutlingen, Baden-Württemberg. On Sunday, the river Neckar posed a significant risk, leading the police to advise against floating with inflatable rings due to the strong current. Despite this warning, five individuals disregarded the advice, leading to their predicament in the river.
