In a dispute at a gas station in Marktheidenfeld (Main-Spessart district), at least five people have been injured, two of them severely. According to a police spokesperson, this was a dispute between two rival groups, during which weapons were used.

The police are therefore investigating a attempted murder charge and a serious breach of the peace. Approximately 40 people were involved in the dispute. When the first police officers arrived, the perpetrators managed to escape unnoticed. The ongoing search efforts have so far been unsuccessful.

All injured parties were taken to different hospitals. One victim with a stab wound was flown to a clinic via helicopter.

The investigation is ongoing. The police are looking for witnesses.
