After EURO Finals - Fanmeile is being dismantled - 17. Juni Street remains closed

At Brandenburger Gate, the Fanmile dismantling begins as of today. The carpet of grass laid on Straße des 17. Juni will be used on Berlin football pitches instead. Recently, a new opportunity arose for the large football goal that stands as decoration at Brandenburger Gate and was supposed to be scrapped: It's up for sale.

Straße des 17. Juni remains closed until July 26, 18.000 Uhr. The connection between Brandenburger Gate and Großer Stern was then blocked for nearly three months straight.

118,000 people watched the final match on Sundays with Spain's victory on the two Fanmiles in the Government District.

The large soccer goal from Brandenburger Gate, popular during the Football European Championship, is now available for sale as a leisure item. The Fanmile on Straße des 17. Juni, where 118,000 fans enjoyed matches, will soon be replaced by its artificial grass on local soccer fields in Berlin. Visitors to the city might miss the lively atmosphere, as even the Brandenburger Gate's connection to Großer Stern was impacted during the EM fan festivities.
