Family member brutally assaults family members and sets ablaze their residence.
A 34-year-old dude in Bad Münstereifel, just outside Bonn, is believed to have gone wild and stuck his wife and two of his kids. The incident happened in the dead of night, and after causing chaos in the apartment, the guy's alleged actions are said to have sparked a blaze which quickly engulfed the multi-family building, as a police spokesperson explained.
The third child from the family is battling the effects of smoke inhalation. The culprit managed to slip away but was eventually nabbed by cops at a rest stop on the A61 in the early hours. All the injured were rushed to the hospital.
The 33-year-old woman and the two kids are said to be in critical condition, with their lives hanging in the balance, according to the spokesperson. The three kids are 10, 13, and 15 years old. The reason behind the savage attack remains unclear. The fire department was on the scene, with multiple teams working to douse the flames.
