Witnesses reported explosions and smoke over the affected area, Podgorenski, about 190 kilometers south of the regional capital Woronesh. The state of emergency was declared there. Houses were evacuated.
Two older women were taken to the hospital, Gussew reported. Dozens of residents were reportedly housed in a temporary shelter in the school and provided with assistance, while others went to live with relatives. The emergency situation was caused by fallen debris from downed drones, according to Gussew.
