Technical defect - Explosion in bakery - six-figure damage
In a bakery in Putzbrunn (München district), there was a suspected explosion - the damage is estimated to be in the six-figure range, according to the police. There were no injured reported during the incident on Monday morning. It is believed that a technical defect in an electrical device caused the explosion - this needs to be confirmed, however.
The bakery and the house facade were damaged. The building structure was affected, but the apartments above the bakery are still habitable, as a structural engineer examined.
The police in Upper Bavaria are currently investigating the causes of the bakery explosion in Putzbrunn, a district of Munich. Due to the emergency, traffic was temporarily diverted in the area. The explosion also prompted a swift response from local firefighters.
