Following the lethal stabbing incident in Solingen, the Highest Prosecutorial Body is also scrutinizing the prime suspect for alleged affiliation with the extremist group, Islamic State (IS). A representative from Germany's primary prosecution organization confirmed this to the German Press Service in Karlsruhe.

The Highest Prosecutorial Body is considering other potential charges beyond the stabbing incident. Despite denying any involvement, the suspect's other associates are being investigated for their alleged support of IS.
