Second League - Ex-Trainer sues Eintracht Braunschweig

Football trainer Jens Haertel has sued his former club Eintracht Braunschweig over a non-relegation bonus dispute. A spokesperson for the club confirmed a report in the "Braunschweiger Zeitung" newspaper.

Jens Haertel, who is 55 years old, was let go as Eintracht's trainer in October of last year. At that time, his team was in last place in the 2. Bundesliga. Under his successor Daniel Scherning, Braunschweig managed to secure promotion. The team earned 33 of their 38 points with Scherning, while only five points were earned with Haertel.

Haertel's contract with Eintracht runs until June 30, 2025. The football coach continues to receive his monthly salary and now wants to enforce the payment of his contractually agreed non-relegation bonus and points bonuses through the labor court after his dismissal. According to the report, a court date has been set for mid-August. However, an out-of-court settlement is also still possible.

Eintracht Braunschweig is a soccer club located in Lower Saxony, Germany. Jens Haertel's dispute with Eintracht Braunschweig revolves around a non-relegation bonus, as reported in the Braunschweig Newspaper. Despite being replaced by Daniel Scherning, Eintracht Braunschweig managed to secure promotion in the Second Bundesliga, earning most of their points under Scherning.
