Escaped from Police Custody: Notorious Female Assailant from Kenya
Following the uncovering of numerous female corpses at a Kenyan garbage dump by authorities, a suspect admits to multiple murders. After a month, this same suspect manages to break out of his imprisonment. According to Citizen Digital, as per a police report, the suspect, along with twelve other inmates, managed to slice through the security wires of their cells and climb the station's wall during the early hours.
Upon entering the cell for the inmates' morning meal, a police officer found it vacant. The authorities confirmed that a search operation is currently underway.
The escapee is suspected of brutally murdering, dismembering, and packaging forty-two women in plastic bags before disposing of them at an abandoned quarry used as a garbage dump in a Nairobi slum. His arrest took place mid-July, following the discovery of body parts at the quarry. Initially, he confessed to the crimes, but later claimed he was coerced into doing so.
This type of heinous acts against women are often labeled as femicide, which refers to the killing of women because of their gender, usually perpetrated by men.
The suspect's confession included admissions to both murder and manslaughter of the forty-two women. Despite his escape, the manhunt for the murderer continues, as the authorities are concerned about potential further instances of such crimes.
