Accidents - Epileptic seizure: Car crashes into London school

In the event of a tragic accident in London involving two dead children, where a car crashed into the grounds of a primary school in Wimbledon in the past July, no charge will be filed.

According to the Crown Prosecution Service CPS statement, the driver had no chance to prevent the accident. The 46-year-old woman reportedly suffered an epileptic seizure, causing her to lose control of her vehicle.

The woman had never experienced such an episode before and had not received a corresponding diagnosis, the CPS statement continued. Two eight-year-old girls died in the accident, at least one woman was seriously injured.

The lawyer for the bereaved expressed disappointment with the decision. "Justice not only needs to be done, but it must also be seen to be done," bereaved lawyer Trevor Sterling told the British Press Association PA, according to the statement. Without a charge, there will be no judicial review of the presented evidence. The focus is now on a public inquiry.
