Energie Cottbus starts with home match against Bielefeld

The Brandenburgers are back in the 3rd division. On the first matchdays, the Lusatians will face a team relegated from the second division and a newcomer.

3rd league - Energie Cottbus starts with home match against Bielefeld

Ascender Energy Cottbus opens the new season of the 3. Football League at home. The Brandenburgers receive Arminia Bielefeld on August 3 or 4, as the German Football Association announced.

In the following weeks, the Lausitzers have to face Dynamo Dresden, newcomer Alemannia Aachen, and Second League relegated Wehen Wiesbaden. The exact dates will be announced by the DFB in the next week. Cottbus last represented the third highest league in the 2018/19 season.

Ascender Energy Cottbus, an 3rd league team from Brandenburg, will host Arminia Bielefeld in their opening match of the new season, scheduled for either August 3rd or 4th, as announced by the German Football Association. Following this, Cottbus will face challenges from Dynamo Dresden, Alemannia Aachen, and Wehen Wiesbaden, who have been promoted or relegated respectively. FC Energie Cottbus, previously representing the 3rd highest league in the 2018/19 season, will continue their Soccer journey in the upcoming fixtures.
