Misadventure in a Package Machine: Thanks to some robust apparatus, Dortmund's fire department had to intervene in an unusual situation involving a youngster trapped inside a delivery locker. According to the police, this occurrence took place on a Friday, instigated by the teenager's mischievous friends who failed to release him.
Two fire engines and an ambulance responded
To extricate the boy from one of the upper, larger compartments, two fire engines and an ambulance were dispatched. As per the fire department's report, upon rescuing the unscathed youth and providing him with some refreshments, they concluded, with a hint of sarcasm, "The exact motive behind the teenager's confinement, whether to hide or self-mail, remains obscure."
However, the police later clarified that the boy did not inadvertently lock himself in, but rather, he had accomplices involved. This incident was not a criminal event, but rather, a foolish playful act.
The police arrived at the scene to investigate the incident, as they believed the teenager's friends might hold some responsibility. Subsequently, the police gathered statements from the youth's friends to understand the sequence of events.
