NATO summit - Embarrassing Biden advisor: Putin instead of Zelensky

US-President Joe Biden mixed up the names of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian leader Vladimir Putin at a crucial point during his speech at the last day of the NATO Summit. Biden spoke about the Russian aggression war and was about to give the word to "President Zelenskyy." However, he noticed the mistake while turning away from the podium. He corrected himself immediately and apologetically, admitting he was so focused on defeating Putin.

Zelenskyy, who was standing next to him on the stage, quipped back with the words: "I'm better."

Biden is under constant observation at the NATO Meeting following doubts about his mental and physical fitness raised during a TV duel against Trump at the end of June. The first two days went smoothly for Biden as the host.

Biden typically avoids major gaffes when reading from a teleprompter. However, it will be challenging for the Democrat, who intends to move back into the White House after the US election in November, when he speaks freely.

The real test for the US President, though, is yet to come: At the end of the NATO Summit on Friday night, he is scheduled to give a press conference.

  1. During the NATO summit, the US-President Joe Biden made a noticeable mistake while referring to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
  2. Biden had intended to address President Zelenskyy about the Russian aggression war, but mistakenly called out Putin's name.
  3. The NATO summit, which included discussions on international relationships and defense, was a critical platform for the US-President to demonstrate his leadership within the NATO alliance.
  4. Vladimir Putin, known for his assertive diplomacy, was not present at the NATO summit, which only added to the focus on Biden's role as the US-President.
  5. With the US election in November approaching, the NATO summit placed increasing scrutiny on Biden's mental and physical fitness, following criticisms from former President Trump.
  6. Addressing the press after the NATO summit, Biden will face his most significant challenge yet, as he speaks freely without the aid of a teleprompter.
  7. Following the NATO summit, Biden and Volodymyr Zelenskyy will need to maintain a strong alliance as the US and Ukraine continue to face geopolitical challenges, including Russia's aggression in Ukraine.
