English soccer fans pushed a broken-down Trabi into the traffic flow on the streets of Berlin before the EURO Final, causing an accident. A supporter of the Three Lions was temporarily arrested by the Berlin Police following the incident. An investigation is underway against the man for dangerous interference in traffic and property damage.

A video on X showed a group of men, some wearing English national team jerseys, pushing the Trabi onto Friedrichstraße. It collided lightly with an approaching car. A young man in a white jersey fell out of the Trabi's door and immediately ran away.

English fans bang on car hoods

According to the Police, the accident caused disruptions to the tram service. Subsequently, several English fans, some of whom were heavily intoxicated, came out onto the street and banged on the hoods of passing cars.

According to the Police, thousands of fans celebrated peacefully around the EURO Final on Sunday between Spain and England in the capital. However, there were occasional incidents. It is reported that a brawl between English soccer fans took place in a local in Mitte, resulting in facial injuries to a person. Emergency services treated the person on the spot.

A total of 151 criminal complaints were filed, including for offering services for remuneration, bodily harm, aggravated bodily harm, breaking and entering, forgery, and pickpocketing. There were 133 detentions, but they were temporary.

Despite some episodes of violence, German authorities managed to manage the chaos after the UEFA EURO 2012 finale in Berlin, with the help of the local police.

The German police had to take certain measures to control the fierce enthusiasm of the English soccer fans in the city, allowing temporary detentions to maintain order during the festivities.
