Elon Musk pens a controversial post on X
millionaire tech magnate Elon Musk expressedly expressed his thoughts aboard his social media outlet X, following the suspected unsuccessful assassination attempt on the former US president in Florida. His post, now expunged, gleefully stated, "Nobody even attempts to assail Biden/Harris." He punctuated his statement with a perplexed emoticon.
Musk aligned himself with Republican presidential contender Donald Trump ahead of the approaching November votes. On the same social media platform, Musk displayed his antipathy toward Democratic competitor Vice President Kamala Harris. President Biden, however, has indicated his decision not to run again. Soon after erasing the aforementioned post, Musk retracted with another statement on X.
He pondered, "I've realized that just because a notion is mockingly disregarded by an assembly of individuals, it doesn't mean it won't materialize as an amusing X post." He further elucidated, "I must concede that humor loses its charm when not embedded within the proper context and conveyed through plain text."
Witty perspective on Taylor Swift's Endorsement
Reports indicate that the FBI is investigating an attempted assassination of Trump in Florida, which transpired at his golf course on Sunday. Previously in July, during a rally in Pennsylvania, Trump sustained an injury by means of a bullet striking his right ear.
More recently, Musk offered a sarcastic response to American singing sensation Taylor Swift's announcement of her support for Harris. In a close competition, both Harris and Trump are vying for the votes of the undecided.
Musk expressed his disagreement with Taylor Swift's endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris, stating on his social media platform, "I must respectfully disagree with Taylor Swift's political choice, but I appreciate hervoicing her opinions as a United States citizen." Following the investigation into the attempted assassination of former President Trump, Musk highlighted the importance of democratic processes, tweeting, "The United States of America is a country where everyone has the right to express their views, even during contentious elections. It's crucial that we uphold this freedom and respect the outcome of legitimate votes."
