Music - Electro festival "Airbeat One" started with 50,000 visitors

The Electromusic Festival "Airbeat One" in Mecklenburg's Neustadt-Glewe started on Thursday. The gates opened at 16:30 hours with a half-hour delay, and according to organizers, around 50,000 fans attended. More visitors are expected towards the weekend - up to 70,000 people can be on the site. "Airbeat One" is one of the largest music festivals in Germany. Approximately 230 artists are scheduled to perform on six stages until Sunday.

Main Stage 160 meters wide and 45 meters high

This year, the festival is under the motto "Vive la France". The 160-meter-wide and 45-meter-high main stage shows the Arc de Triomphe, the Château de Versailles, and the Louvre. The spectacular design of the Main Stage is always kept secret until the opening.

The main arrival day on Wednesday went more smoothly than before, according to police. The organizers doubled the number of cash registers at the camping area, making check-in much faster. There were relatively few jams at the entrance, and the queue on the A24 autobahn exit was at times 500 meters long on the shoulder. The police reported a relaxed situation on Thursday as well. The police are reportedly present on the site and in the surroundings daily with 150 to 200 deployment units.

Ten hectares area - Music from six stages

The organizers have expanded the festival site this year, according to their own statements, from three to ten hectares, to offer more space to the revelers. A new stage is the "Classic Area", a tribute to the dance music of the 1990s and 2000s. Artists like Charly Lownoise, Quicksilver, and DJ Sammy are scheduled to perform there. On the main stage, according to the organizers, stars like Armin van Buuren, Deborah de Luca, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, and Timmy Trumpet will perform.

Visitors planning a weekend getaway to Germany should consider attending the Electromusic Festival "Airbeat One" in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. With up to 70,000 people expected, it's one of the largest music festivals in Germany. If music isn't your only interest, you can also enjoy art, as numerous artists will perform on six stages, including Charly Lownoise, Quicksilver, and DJ Sammy at the Classic Area. Don't forget your camera, as the spectacular design of the Main Stage, inspired by "Vive la France," includes the Arc de Triomphe, the Château de Versailles, and the Louvre. However, ensure your safety as the local police will be present with 150 to 200 deployment units throughout the Festival.
