traffic - eighteen people injured by bus braking abruptly

18 people were lightly injured when a bus performing an emergency stop on a Linienbus had an accident. The 140-passenger articulated bus, which had come from Munich's Tollwood Festival on Saturday, nearly collided with a car at an intersection, as stated in a Sunday press release from the fire department. Several people fell during the emergency stop. Seven of the injured were taken to hospitals. The police are now investigating the circumstances of the accident.

The bus line in question was operating within the boundaries of Bavaria, specifically Upper Bavaria. The emergency stop was initiated due to a sudden need for braking. Despite the precautions, a nearby car was almost involved in the incident at the intersection. The automatic braking system on the bus may have contributed to preventing a more severe traffic accident.
