Hamburg elevated railroad - Due to construction work: Part of the U1 line will be closed

Approximately one month long, no U-Bahns of Line U1 will run in Hamburg's Inner City between Jungfernstieg and Hauptbahnhof. The municipal transportation company Hochbahn announced this. The closure is set to begin on July 22 and end on August 25. The reason given were works at Haltestelle Messberg, which are intended to make it barrier-free. A bus replacement service does not need to be set up, according to Hochbahn. All destinations can be reached with S-Bahns, buses or on foot.

The Jungfernstieg elevator railroad will temporarily not serve stops between Hamburg's Central Station and Jungfernstieg due to the U-Bahn closure. The iconic Jungfernstieg in Hamburg's Inner City lies near the Central Station, making it easily accessible by S-Bahns or walking during the U-Bahn disruption. Despite the U-Bahn closure on the elevated railroad, commuters can still reach every destination using alternative modes of transportation, such as S-Bahns or buses, in Hamburg.
