Ex-US-President Donald Trump will meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday, Trump announced on his online network Truth Social on Tuesday.

Netanyahu will speak before the US Congress in Washington on Wednesday evening. The speech before both houses of Congress is eagerly anticipated - the relationship between the US and Israel is extremely tense due to Israel's offensive in the Gaza Strip.

Netanyahu to Meet Trump and Biden

Netanyahu will also meet with President Joe Biden on Thursday. The White House announced the reception only a few minutes after Trump's message.

The 81-year-old Biden announced on Sunday, facing doubts about his mental and physical fitness, that he would not run for re-election. Instead, for the Democrats, it is now likely that Vice President Kamala Harris will run. She will also meet Netanyahu during his US visit.

Trump survived an assassination attempt on July 13 during a campaign rally. A few days later, the 78-year-old was officially nominated as the Republican candidate for the presidential election in November.

Netanyahu's meeting with Trump on Thursday in Washington is generating significant interest, following their previous political relationships.

Despite announcing his retirement from politics, US-President Joe Biden will still meet with Netanyahu on Thursday, as per the White House announcement.

The upcoming meeting between Netanyahu and Trump at the White House is a notable event, considering their contrasting views during Trump's presidency.
