The two brothers Lovely & Monty have christened their music style "Doyllywood" - Bollywood in German.

Dollywood rumored to be behind the hidden 2024 European Championship theme song?

Two Brothers from Hamburg, cruise around the city in a cab, and compose an electronic-music track with a Bollywood twist. The dynamic duo, known as Lovely & Monty, is currently trending online with their catchy melody "This EM 2024". In the accompanying video, they gleefully sing and dance in front of the Außenalster, one sporting a Dastar, a Sikh turban, and the other donning a Cowboy Hat in German colors. As the song goes, "This EM is gonna be colorful".

Every European Championship has its anthem. In 2004, Nelly Furtado's "Força" resonated across stadiums in Portugal. During the pan-European EM 2021, Martin Garrix and U2's Bono united to sing about European unity through "We Are The People". And this year, German pop star Leony delivers the official EM song "Fire". However, the underdog hit for the Europameisterschaft 2024 comes from these Brothers from Hamburg and is causing a buzz on the internet.

The lyrics of "This EM 2024" let the Banghu Brothers, their nickname, infuse a piece of football history. "Three times we were champions" they croon, reminiscing about Germany's wins in the European Championships of 1972, 1980, and 1996. They aspire to make it a fourth – with the home advantage, as well as the power of their music: "We push our boys", they invite the German Football team.

The duo has been making music for a long time. But 14 years ago, they began encouraging taxi passengers to sing their Bollywood tunes, this time in German, they shared with NDR. "Dollywood" was born. At the European Championship 2012 in Poland and Ukraine, the first fan song from Lovely & Monty, "Oh Germany we love you", was unveiled.

Since then, the music of the Banghu Brothers has always been among the hidden fan favorites at World and European Championships. They are always seen together, either on stage or in front of the camera. Hence, they are often asked by passengers: "Where's your other half?" They always have to explain that you can't drive a taxi with two steering wheels.

With the World Cup in Qatar two years ago, they couldn't make much noise. They took a break, leaving passionate fans of the Banghu Brothers on the edge. But now, Lovely & Monty are back and prove once more with "This EM 2024" that they excel at creating addictive, upbeat earworms. Meanwhile, "Balkonultra" Niko offers competition, who wrote the most absurd song of this European Championship. Whether "Pyrotechnics" or the hit from Lovely & Monty becomes the unofficial EM anthem, the stadium fans decide.
