Disruptive warnings about potential explosions cause chaos at Austrian train terminals.

In recent times, various train stations situated in prominent Austrian cities have encountered bomb threat situations. Despite extensive searches, the authorities haven't managed to uncover any explosive devices as yet. This issue also extends to Vienna's airport.

A representative from the Lower Austrian police in St. Pölten mentioned that the threatening emails are remarkably similar. It's worth noting that the capital city's train stations have been most affected by these threats. The spokesperson underlined the seriousness with which they're handling this situation.

On Wednesday evening, the train stations in St. Pölten, Salzburg, and Klagenfurt were hit, on Tuesday it was Linz, and on Monday, Graz. All of these stations had to be closed for a few hours due to the emailed threats about potential explosions. The Austrian Intelligence Service is now actively investigating this matter.

To this date, no harmful objects have been discovered. The Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) chose not to comment on the situation. Additionally, it was reported that Vienna Airport received a threat on Wednesday, but the police categorically deny any strong connection between the station bomb threats and the airport threat. "With a high degree of confidence," a spokesperson claimed, "there's no presumption of an actual threat from the sender."

The Austrian Federal Government's Commission on Security and Defense has been briefed on the escalating train station bomb threats. The Commission has emphasized the need for enhanced cooperation and information sharing among the authorities to address this issue effectively.

The Linz train station needed to be vacated.
