In the Berlin area of Treptow-Koepenick, a severely injured young girl was discovered inside a cat box in front of a tenement building. The girl is thought to have been thrown out of the third floor of the building. The authorities stated that she wasn't immediately in danger. The case is being further examined due to suspicion of attempted murder.

It is speculated that the girl's mother was responsible for throwing her out of the house, but a police official wouldn't confirm this in the early evening. The police plan to release additional details later.

This incident occurred in Altglienicke, located in the southeast of the capital region, near the airport. A photo from "B.Z." shows a blue plastic box which is typically used for transporting cats. It's located in front of a home in Ortolfstrasse, cordoned off by police officers near bicycle stands.

The girl, who was distressfully crying in the box, had reached her 21st month. A witness came across the box on Monday morning and called the fire department, who then delivered the injured kid to the hospital.

The police reported that an adult was discovered in an apartment situated on the third floor of the structure after the finding of the child. This individual was interrogated. Additionally, another child was in the apartment. Initially, the police spokesman made no statements about this child. However, that kid was taken under the supervision of the juvenile welfare office.
