Diesel costs have gone up dramatically yet again.

Following a slump in the previous weeks, diesel prices have surged noticeably. As per the announcement made by ADAC in Munich on a Wednesday, the price per liter elevated by 2.7 cents in a weekly comparison, reaching 1.662 Euro. The average price nationwide for a liter of E10 gasoline remained comparatively steady, hovering around 1.768 Euro.

The escalation in diesel prices, ADAC explains, is a result of the surge in crude oil prices. As a result, Brent crude oil price has climbed beyond 3 US dollars, settling at over 85 US dollars per barrel. Although the gasoline price, according to ADAC, seems acceptable, diesel is deemed too pricey.

ADAC advises drivers to refuel their tanks during the evening hours, specifically between 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM. It's during this period that gasoline prices significantly dip compared to the daytime. Prices also tend to be lower between 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM.
