Deutsche Telekom launches collaborative business entity

In a collaborative effort within the telecom sector, Deutsche Telekom unites with other leading corporations to foster an AI project aimed at the telecommunication industry. The announcement was made at the IT event "DTW24 - Ignite" in Copenhagen on a Wednesday, confirming agreements with SK Telecom, e&, Singtel, and Softbank for this joint venture.

The primary objective of the partnership is the development of a Large Language Model (LLM), designed to function as a chatbot. This AI-powered digital assistant will serve as a customer service representative for the around 1.3 billion customers of the participating companies globally. The AI, customized to cater to the telecom industry, will be accessible in multiple languages.

The Global Telco AI Alliance was initially established at the start of the year, and the joint venture for AI development was announced. Deutsche Telekom has already commenced the training of the upcoming chatbot, expected to provide answers to queries regarding rates, technical issues, and more.
